OUR CUSTOMER CARE TEAM

Each property is an individually built handcrafted product and there will inevitably be some teething problems and variations associated with it, due to the nature of materials used and the ways in which they are applied. Whilst we endeavour to pick these problems up prior to occupation, some will only come to light when running in your new home.

 

PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR WARRANTY DOES NOT REMOVE THE NEED FOR NORMAL HOMEOWNER MAINTENANCE

 

On occupation of your new home

 

A representative of Devine Homes will issue you with a full set of keys. At this point you will be shown around your home highlighting certain key points, where the meters can be found and how to operate items such as central heating and appliances, along with any safety information.

 

You will be provided with an occupation pack, which will contain information from the NHBC and a meter reading form, which will be completed upon occupation. These will be forwarded to our service providers along with your information to inform them that you are now in occupation.

 

48 Hours after occupation

A list detailing any defects to Sanitaryware, Glass, Kitchen Units or Appliances should be provided by you and sent in writing to our Head Office (see page 35) or emailed to our Customer Care Department. Any damages reported after this period will be deemed to have been caused by the homeowner.

 

12 Months after occupation

Any further defects should again be put in writing and sent to our head office where we will arrange for an inspection. Please note that defects will be noted and dealt with in accordance with your NHBC Buildmark Warranty. It is the company’s aim to conclude any outstanding matters within 3 weeks of the inspection.

 

Please note that the following items within your home require annual maintenance (not carried out by Devine Homes) by a competent person to avoid any warranties provided becoming void.

 

  • All electrical systems.

  • All plumbing and heating systems.
